Matthew 7: 9-11 ““Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
As we prayed for our home to sell—for eight long months—God kept assuring us that He would bring the buyers of His choosing . . . and the timing would be perfect for both us as sellers—and the other party as well.
He did just that. It couldn’t have been better.
We began to look for a new home. Each one we found had some kind of “issue” that caused us to continue searching.
Then, God led us to our “dream house.”
I was in tears as I thanked God for a home that far surpassed our expectations.
I opened the Bible for my morning devotional time with God and read this verse from Matthew 7.
It blew me away!
God reminded me that He is a good father.
He wants to give us good things—if we will only trust Him and wait on His timing!
Don’t settle for a “stone” when God wants to give you “bread”!
